Things have changed

As many of you already know that things are changing around the world as the economic collapse of the United States and many other countries is starting to impact every economy. This downturn has impacted 90% of the population in the U.S. We are all less wealthier than we were a year ago or 6 months ago. Real estate prices in the U.S. continue to drop at a fast rate and there is no end in sight.
This downturn has created many changes in Jordan also. Banks are not lending in Jordan like they were before. Many banks have stoped lending to expatriates who live in the U.S. As bad as it may seem in Jordan things are allot worse off in the U.S.
It is not gloom and doom yet though. I feel that the U.S. will bottom out in Mid 2009 and start to show a gradual recovery in early 2010. There is and will be many opportunities for investment in the U.S. and in Jordan as prices of Real Estate will continue to drop. Though the drop in Jordan will be minimal compared to the U.S.
There is no reason to be fearful during this downturn. You will know when we have bottomed when everyone starts talking about how bad everything is. Take advantage if these great opportunites and buy. Real estate will always come back.
