In 2007 when I started writing about investment opportunities in Jordan, the investment environment was different. Money was coming in from many countries and the banking crisis did not exist. Now more than ever you have to be careful how you invest your money especially in real estate.
Many banks are scared and are requiring more money down on properties. In addition many banks in Jordan are not lending to people that live outside of Jordan. The one thing that I do see is that Jordans real estate sector did not see a massive drop in the real estate prices like the U.S. and other countries. There are also many develpments in progress in Amman, the dead sea and aqaba.
I do feel that Jordan is still in it's infancy as far as growth. Once the many great resorts and towers start to finish, there will be a freenzy to buy some of these properties. Right now many people are skeptical about the finishing of these projects but the King of Jordan is not going to let these projects stand still and it is going to be an exciting place to visit.

These area's is where the demand is and where you can get 3 to 4 times the rent that you would get for another property in another part of town and always make sure not to buy any apartments located on a main street. I would seriously consider the project in Aqaba as there is limited sea side properties available. Once these are sold the price will double and triple within a few years. If you have an interest in learning about these properties, feel free to email me at jordanrealesateadvisors@gmail.com.
Remember if you are traveling from the United States to Jordan or the Middle East, I own a travel agency that specilizes in this field and since I have a contract with Royal Jordanian, I can give you a price cheaper than published fare and cheaper than Royal Jordanian.
