I began to journal my thoughts and experiences as I started a new career driving a semi-truck, soon I began to organize it into a fiction novel. In 2008, "Learning to Soar Above the Storms" was published. It has received a great response from the readers. I have been honored to receive awards for sixteen poems, which are now in publication. I am Owner/CEO of a full service writing company: BerethaShavaEnvisage.com Please join me as I begin this new adventure. Let me hear your thoughts.
Petra is a vital, historic area even today. It stands on the threshold of the past while linking the world to the future. One can drift through time while standing at the entrance of this magnifient destination.
Carved from the red sandstone cliffs, the "Red City" is almost overwhelming, with it's large column entrance, and historic inscriptions. The calm atmosphere invites all visitors to stay for awhile.
The area requires a minium of two days to experience it fully. Take a break for your meal in a eatery located near the destination. Let the sun ease from the sky as you sip a rich cup of Turkey coffee as you stand over a glowing fire pit.
There is the comfort of a modern hotel within a one mile hike from the entrance of Petra. There are many shops in the area for your convience and pleasure.
It is great to see Jordan open her doors to the world travelers. She has so much to offer. You will not regret adding this destination to your list of stops.
